He is also a past chair of the Dental Quality Alliance. Chris has lectured and has published articles on patient-centered care, evidence-based care, quality improvement in health care, and dental benefit issues. Additionally, Dr. Smiley served as chair of the ADA&#8217;s Evidence-Based Dentistry Expert panel on Management of Periodontal Disease and was the lead author of the systematic review and clinical guidelines published in JADA. He is a past moderator of the ADA EBD Champions Conference.
